Knapp couple injured after motorcycle struck by deer

SPRING VALLEY — A Knapp couple were seriously injured last Thursday after the motorcycle they were riding was struck by a deer near Spring Valley.
Christopher Windsor, age 44, and Valerie Windsor, age 41, of Knapp were eastbound on State Highway 29 near 290th Street in the Town of Gilman shortly after 5 p.m. on June 1 when the Harley-Davidson motorcycle Christopher was driving was struck by a deer.
Christopher was transported to Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin via ambulance, while Valerie Windsor was transported by air to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. There was no further information regarding their conditions at press time.
Valerie is listed on the Dunn County Town of Stanton website as the board’s clerk-treasurer.
Pierce County deputies were assisted at the accident scene by Spring Valley police, ambulance and fire crews, along with fire department staff from Elmwood and LifeLink III air transport.
