Dairy State Bank invites community to celebrate first anniversary in Bloomer
BLOOMER — April 18 marks exactly one year since Dairy State Bank joined Bloomer’s main street community. To celebrate, the bank is hosting a week-long Anniversary Open House, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21. The public is invited to enjoy treats, socialize with employees and register for a daily door prize.
In addition to inviting the public to the Anniversary Open House, Dairy State Bank is offering special rates, to new and existing customers, on 24-month certificates of deposit (CDs): 1.35% annual percentage yield (APY) on $30,000 CDs; 1.25% APY on $10,000 CDs; 1.15% APY on $1,000 CDs. These rates are effective as of April 5 for a limited time only. Interest is applied annually. A penalty will be imposed for early withdrawal, and fees could reduce earnings on the account.
It couldn’t be more appropriate that Dairy State Bank’s first anniversary coincides with Community Banking Month. Community banks channel their loans to the neighborhoods where their depositors live and work to help local businesses and communities thrive, according to Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), an organization that supports and promotes community banks.
“Over this past year we have really put down roots in Bloomer by participating in local events, joining civic groups and providing financial support to non-profit organizations that enhance the Bloomer community,” says Stacy Medin, manager and lender at Dairy State Bank in Bloomer. “We are grateful for how warmly we have been welcomed to Bloomer by residents and business people.”
Dairy State Bank employees Susie Swartz, Roxie Prill, Debbie Gillette and Medin have lived in Bloomer or nearby communities for years and have embraced the company’s “giving back” attitude. To name a few of their community focused activities during their first year, staff have participated in the Reality Store at Bloomer High School, raised funds to purchase more than $400 worth of school supplies for the Bloomer and New Auburn Food Pantry, and participated in “Dementia Friendly Business Training,” provided by the Chippewa County Aging and Disability Resource Center, to learn how to better serve customers in various stages of the disease.
Dairy State Bank’s Bloomer location is a full-service bank, providing a full range of financial products and services including personal, mortgage, business and agricultural loans, online banking, electronic business services, and retirement/wealth services. Dairy State Bank is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and is an Equal Housing Lender.
Headquartered in Rice Lake, Dairy State Bank is a locally-owned, community bank serving Northwest Wisconsin for nearly 60 years. Locations also exist in Birchwood, Colfax, Cumberland, Downsville, Haugen, Menomonie, Prairie Farm, Turtle Lake and Wheeler.
