Three GC FFA members compete in district speaking contest

On Monday, January 30, the Glenwood City FFA sent Kimberly Spaeth, Megan Speiser, and Ashlee Peterson to Spring Valley to compete at the FFA district speaking contest.

Ashlee and Megan both competed in extemporaneous speaking.  This contest requires members to draw random topics about agriculture, prepare for half an hour, and present an informative speech to a panel of judges. Ashlee and Megan both represented the chapter extremely well but will not be advancing to sectionals.

Kimberly took 1st place in the job interview competition and will be competing March 15th in Stanley Boyd at the Sectional speaking contest.  The job interview competition puts students in real job interview settings with members of the agricultural industry.
