Two candidates in April election for Town of Colfax Supervisor 1

COLFAX  —  Two candidates will be on the ballot for the Supervisor 1 position in the Town of Colfax during the April 4 election. 

The Town of Colfax held a caucus to nominate candidates for the April election January 10. 

Jason Klukas and Kevin J. Moore were nominated to be on the ballot for the Supervisor 1 position currently held by Incumbent Gary Bjork.

Bjork was nominated to the Supervisor 2 position currently held by Ronald Hoffman, who is not seeking re-election. 

Incumbent Town Chair Dean Logslett will be on the ballot again for the town chair position.

Incumbent Treasurer Christine Lorenzen will be on the ballot for the treasurer’s position.

The clerk in the Town of Colfax will become an appointed position after the April election.

Rebecca Kiesow currently serves as clerk, and the town board is seeking applicants for the position.

Town of Grant 

All four incumbents in the Town of Grant were nominated again for their positions during a caucus held January 9.

Incumbent Town Chair Mark Dietsche will appear on the ballot for the town chair position.

Incumbent Supervisor 1 David Buchner will appear on the ballot for Supervisor 1.

Incumbent Supervisor 2 Brad Larson will be on the ballot for Supervisor 2.

Incumbent Treasurer James Ackerlund also was nominated to be on the ballot for the treasurer’s position.

The Town of Grant decided several years ago to switch from electing a clerk to appointing a clerk.

Peggy Johnson serves as clerk in the Town of Grant.

Otter Creek

Three incumbents on the Otter Creek Town board were nominated again for their positions during a caucus held January 10. 

Incumbent Town Chair Mark Warner was nominated to appear on the ballot for town chair.

Incumbent Supervisor 1 Steve Scoll was nominated to appear on the ballot for Supervisor 1.

Incumbent Supervisor 2 LeAnn R. Ralph was nominated to appear on the ballot for Supervisor 2.

The Town of Otter Creek decided last fall to combine the clerk and treasurer’s position and to appoint a clerk-treasurer.

The clerk-treasurer will be appointed after the April election.

Anita Rundle has served as clerk for the Town of Otter Creek for the past 40 years and has decided to retire.

The Otter Creek Town Board has approved hiring Rundle for one year after the April election to help the new clerk-treasurer transition into the position.

Roberta Guidaboni has served as treasurer in the Town of Otter Creek for the past 12 years.

The Otter Creek Town Board has approved hiring Guidaboni for one month to help the appointed clerk-treasurer transition into the position.
