CHS celebrates Homecoming
COLFAX — Colfax High School is celebrating Homecoming this week.
The week’s activities will culminate with the Colfax Vikings football team taking on the Mondovi Buffaloes Friday evening at 7 p.m. followed by the Homecoming dance at Colfax High School with the coronation of Homecoming king and queen at 10 p.m.
Dress up days were “Messy Monday”; “Tacky Tourist” (Tuesday); “Disney” (Wednesday); “Neon” (Thursday); and “Red and White Day” (Friday).
The annual bonfire will be lit at the Colfax Fairgrounds on Thursday evening (October 6) following the volleyball game against Elmwood at home.
The bonfire and pep rally are expected to begin around 9 p.m. During the pep rally, teams will be recognized, Homecoming royalty will be announced, and Colfax High School classes will perform skits.
Another pep rally is scheduled Friday afternoon at 3:08 p.m. Results of the afternoon’s activities will be announced, class winner and fan contest winners will be announced and an informal class picture will be taken for the “spirit award.”
Homecoming royalty will again be introduced during the pep rally Friday afternoon and also during halftime at the football game.
Activities Friday afternoon will include senior athlete challenges; ultimate frisbee; class relays; and egg toss.
The Homecoming dance starts at 9 p.m. and will finish at 11:30 p.m.
