MARATHON – Two of the Colfax golfers were in action at the Sectional Meet at Pine Valley Golf Course on Tuesday, May 31 for the right to go onto State. Winning the Sectional Meet was Spring Valley with a total score of 326 and coming in second was Eleva-Strum with a total score of 341. Both teams earned the right to move on to the State Meet.
Seniors Trevor Seston and Trey Guillickson participated in the Sectional Golf Meet. Both played very well while going up against some really tough competition.
Trevor Seston ended his high school golf career finishing tied for nineteenth place on the day. Seston shot an 87 on the course. Seston did his best work on the back nine where he shot a 42.
Trey Guillickson finished with a 96 overall on the course and settled for a tie at forty-first on the day. Guillickson was consistent on the front and back nine as he finished with a 48 on both.
The two boys were unable to continue their season onto the State meet, but really had a fantastic season to get to Sectionals. The two led the Vikings the entire season and will be missed next season as the team moves forward.
