Mondovi would respond with one in the bottom of the third, but Colfax would get it right back in the top of the fourth inning. It was then the Lady Buffaloes started playing catchup the next couple innings. They would score two in the bottom of the fourth and push two more across in the bottom of the sixth. They would then tie the game up in the bottom of the seventh inning to force extra innings. They would need only one more inning of play to decide the outcome. Colfax would push three across in the top half of the inning to give them a nice cushion for the bottom half. The Lady Buffaloes would fight and claw their way to scoring four in the bottom half and win in walk off style.

On the mound for the Lady Vikings and taking the loss was sophomore Tamara Huffman. Huffman pitched the whole game and gave up ten runs on eight hits while striking out twelve on the afternoon.
