Colfax churches to hold 7 Christmas Eve candlelight services and 2 Christmas Day services

COLFAX  —  Churches in the Colfax area will be holding six Christmas Eve candlelight services and a candlelight eucharist service as well as two Christmas Day services.

The first candlelight service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, December 24, at North Running Valley Lutheran Church.

North Running Valley is part of the Colfax Rural Lutheran Parish and is located north on county Highway A three-and-a-half miles (on the west side of the road).

The second candlelight service will be at 4 p.m. Christmas Eve at Bethany Lutheran Brethren Church in Colfax.

Bethany is located at 805 University Street.

The third candlelight service is at 4:30 p.m. Christmas Eve at Tainter United Methodist Church.

Tainter Methodist is located at N7584 690th Street (off of county Highway B).

The fourth candlelight service also is at 4:30 p.m. Christmas Eve at Colfax Lutheran Church.

Colfax Lutheran is located in Colfax at 601 East River Street.

The fifth candlelight service is at 5 p.m. Christmas Eve at Holden Lutheran Church.

Holden also is part of the Colfax Rural Lutheran Parish and is located several miles north of Colfax on county Highway M.

The sixth candlelight service is at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve at Colfax United Methodist Church.

Colfax United Methodist is located in Colfax at 501 Cedar Street.

The seventh candlelight service Christmas Eve will be a Candlelight Eucharist at 11 p.m. at Colfax Lutheran Church.

The first of the Christmas Day services will be a Christmas Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. at Colfax Lutheran Church.

The second Christmas Day service will be a Christmas Festival service at 10 a.m. at Norton Lutheran Church.

Norton Lutheran is part of the Colfax Rural Lutheran Parish and is located about six miles west of Colfax on state Highway 170.
