Colfax-Bloomer wrestlers finish 2-3 at John Timm Memorial Invite

GLENWOOD CITY — The Colfax-Bloomer wrestling team had plenty of chances to hone their skills as they won two matches and lost three at the John Timm Memorial Invitation tournament held in Glenwood City Dec. 5.

C-B defeated Somerset 48-24 and Spooner 33-27 but lost to Neillsville-Granton-Loyal 54-22, Glenwood City 50-24 and Triton, MN 54-27.

Brady Simonson was undefeated at 145 pounds,winning three matches by a pin, another 17-1 and a taking a forfeit. There were several forfeits throughout the day with teams struggling early in the season to fill weights. Records of C-B wrestlers, not including forfeit wins were: Collin Bungartz 3-1, Brady Hedtke 3-2, Cole Anderson-Olson 2-2, Gabe Nauman 2-2, Jared Stoll 2-2, Dalton Schotter 2-3, Austin Summerfield 1-2 and Cody Goettl 0-5.
