Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church’s Autumn Fest a success
It was a Fall-tastic Event! Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church in Elk Mound, WI held their first ever Autumn Fest on Sunday, October 4th. The event was geared towards getting members of the community together for some fall fun, and they succeeded in doing just that!
A delicious chicken meal was provided, with games for the children, a photo booth, cakewalk and a fantastic selection of Silent Auction items. Part of the proceeds from the event went to help with church projects. But what the church was most excited about, was giving funds received that day directly to the weekend meals for children program in Elk Mound called Mounders Meals. Pastor Mary Eide added, “The timing couldn’t have been better for the Mounders Meals program, because the Autumn Fest date corresponded with the beginning of their Match Fundraising period. During this period, a pound of food is donated from Feed My People Food Bank for every dollar donated to Mounders Meals.” Due to the generosity of the church’s members, along with the local organizations and businesses there was food and fun for everyone! Not only that, but $447 was donated to Mounders Meals and 447 pounds of food will ALSO be donated to Mounder Meals.
