Colfax FFA attends National Convention

LOUISVILLE, KY —Several Colfax students attended the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky which was held Oct. 28-31.

At the convention they heard many of the accomplishments and awards of chapters across the nation. They also listened to two keynote speakers, Rick Rigsby and Brad Montague, and went to a huge FFA Expo with booths from many corporations that deal with agriculture vehicle companies, tractor companies and welding companies along with animal handling equipment manufacturers and animal health companies.

Colleges also set up booths to spark the interest of FFA members as they consider choosing a college in the future. Each state has a booth that highlights their top commodities and educates the visitors about their state. The Colfax group took a tour of Mammoth Cave, a tank landing ship LST 327 and a tour of the Wisconsin Capitol on the way to the convention. The Colfax FFA Alumni helped sponsor the trip for the students.

Students attending include Kristi Hagen, Eden Logslett, Abby Suvada, Brielle Bjork, Ben Christianson, Zach Meyer, Ross Taylor, Jesse Anderson, and Jared Taylor.
