Elk Mound FFA, Cross Country teams help with trail cleanup
On Monday November 2nd the Elk Mound FFA Chapter and Cross Country Teams went out to Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area to help finish trail work that had recently been done by the DNR/Parks service.
The widened and redone trails were in need of clean up and the Mounders were more than willing to help out.
Armed with rakes, pruning shears, pick axes and pure Mounder power students went out and cleaned up about 2 miles worth of trails. Roots, rocks, and branches got cleared in the unseasonably warm weather. It was a great chance for the Cross Country team to give something back to the trails that helped them have a successful season.
