DeMoe leads Colfax golfers at regionals

HAMMOND – Hannah DeMoe shot a round of 108 at the regional golf meet held in Cumberland Sept. 30, allowing her to advance to the sectional meet at Pleasant Hills Golf Course in Hammond Oct. 6. The team finished with a score of 477, placing them eighth of nine teams.

Megan Schleusner was oh-so-close to joining DeMoe but she missed the cut by one stroke with her score of 109. Kaely Reick finished with a round of 128, Amanda Christianson carded a 132 and Hannah Yingst finished with a 133. Dani Dewitt of Spooner was the medalist with a score of 84. Teams advancing to sectional play are Hayward (358), Spooner (376), Stanley-Boyd (390), and Ladysmith (429) and qualifying with DeMoe on the individual level are Kendra Maki of Northwestern (96), McKenna Olson of Cumberland (102) and Faith Erickson of Cumberland (107).
