Viking golfers compete in Prescott

PRESCOTT — There was somewhat of a mix up at the Clifton Highlands Golf Course in Prescott when several teams including Colfax showed up to play in a scheduled meet Sept. 9. With over 80 girls jammed onto the first four holes, it took over three hours for the Colfax girls to complete the nine hole match.

Hannah DeMoe led the Viking squad with a round of 52 which was 10 strokes behind the medalist Anna Uzpen of Osceola. Three of the Colfax golfers including Hannah Yingst, Kaely Rieck and Amanda Christianson golfed on a different par three course and tested their chipping and putting skills which was great practice for them according to coach Kimberly Myers.
