EM golfers end season at regional

ARCADIA — Playing in Division II, the Elk Mound golf team competed in their first ever regional meet at the Arcadia regional held at Trempealeau Mountain Golf Course May 27.

Jameson Rubenzer was low man for the Mounders with a round of 98 including a 47 on the back nine for 34th place as the Mounders finished 10th of 10 teams with a score of 418. Mark Dickinsen and Corey Hagberg both shot a 104 to tie for 39th place, Jonah LaRock finished with a 112 for 44th and Tim Lambele carded a 118 for 48th place. There were 50 golfers competing on the par 71 course and the team title went to Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau with a 330 total and the medalist was Nick Anderson of G-E-T with a 74. The top four teams and top four individuals not on one of those teams moved on to the sectional meet.
