After sending just a few boys to compete at the Larry Z. Invite April 30, Colfax coach Ryan Krall took the whole team to the Schultz Invite in Arcadia for some strong competition against several D2 teams a day later. The Lady Vikes placed eighth out of 12 teams while the boys were ninth in a field of 12 teams.
Ben Kragness was the lone individual winner of the meet for Colfax taking the discus with a toss of 133-05 and placed fifth in the shot put at 45-01. Andrew Adix claimed a second in his specialty, the 200 m dash in 23.48 and the 4 X 200 relay (Adix, Jeremiah Wait, Jacob Steinke, Brad Foyt) was also second in 1:35.05. The 4 X 100 relay (Adix, Wait, Steinke, Foyt) took third in 46.06 and Jelani Smit earned a sixth in the 300 m hurdles in 44.98 as did the 4 X 800 relay (Jacob Jensen, Isaac Lee, Tucker Hovde, Brett prince) with a time of 9:15.76.
Steinke earned a team point with an eighth place in the 200 m dash in 24.46 and Hovde was also eighth in the 1600 m run in 4:36.55. Hovde was tenth in the 800 m run in 2:13.11, Lee took 11th in the triple jump with a leap of 37-08, Kamdon Quast claimed a 12th place in the pole vault clearing 8-00, Grady Gibson placed 13th in the 3200 m run in 12:31.90 and Prince was 14th in the 800 m run in 2:19.92.
Spencer Herrick was 16th in the shot put at 32-06.50 and 21st in the discus with a throw of 84-04, Michael Hurlburt ran the 400 m race in 1:00.88 for 17th place and Jensen was 19th in the 1600 m run in 5:39.02.
Although the girls did not have any individual winners, the 4 X 800 relay (Courtney Dressel, Mackenzie Jensen, Dannielle Dachel, Dempsey Fogarty) was first in 10:26.87 and Fogarty claimed a second in the 800 m run in 2:28.70. Fogarty was also third in the 400 m dash in 1:02.85 and 16th in the long jump at 12-09. Dachel took third in the 1600 m run with a time of 5:50. 87, was tenth in the 800 m run in 2:37.68 and added a 13th in the triple jump at 28-11.50. Dressel placed fifth in the 3200 m run in 13:18.05 and the 4 X 100 relay (Katie Christoffel, Megan Schleusner, Bryana Buchanan, Ally Heidorn) was also fifth in 54.43.
Marianne Scharlau threw the discus 90-10 for sixth place and was 13th in the shot put at 29-00.50, Jensen took seventh in the 3200 m run in 13:30.41. Buchanan zipped to eighth place in the 100 m dash at 14.26 and took tenth in the 200 m dash in 29.17 while Heidorn added a team point with her eighth place finish in the 200 m dash in 28.68 and placed 12th in the triple jump at 29-04.50.
Christoffel finished 11th in the 300 m hurdles in 55.56, Abagail Schotter was 15th in the 1600 m run in 6:23.05 and Alexis Rudi tossed the shot put 26-03 for 19th place and the discus 62-11 for 21st place.

The meet is named after long time track and field official Larry Zirgebel and as mentioned before just a few boys from the Colfax team participated. Hunter Leiffort, coming off an injury, was the highest finisher for the team, placing fourth in the pole vault at 10-00 while Quast was eighth in the event at 8-06. Adam Pretasky competed in three events, placing 15th in both the high jump at 4-10 and the 100 m dash at 12.49 while finishing 21st in the 200 m dash in 27.06. Marcus Reisdorf claimed a couple of 18th place finishes in the 800 m run in 2:32.59 and the 1600 m run at 5:40.65, Gibson was 19th in the 1600 at 5:41.74, Napoleon Nosker took 19th in the 200 m dash at 26.47 and Michael Lyrek was 20th in the same race in 26.61.
