EMHS alumni and friends reunion June 20

ELK MOUND  —  Event organizers say those who go to the Elk Mound High School alumni and friends reunion in June could be attending both a class reunion and a family reunion.

The event is scheduled at the UW-Stout Memorial Student Center on June 20 and is open to anyone with an interest in Elk Mound High School: parents, teachers, former teachers, EMHS graduates, EMHS attendees who transferred out of Elk Mound before graduation.

Prizes will be awarded to the families who are represented with the most people in attendance with the same last name.

Spouses will be included in the count, and people do not have to be from the same family —  they only need to have the same last name.

Registration for the event begins at 10 a.m.

A short program will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Event organizers say some VIPs will be attending the event but that no speeches are planned.

Lunch will be served at 12 noon, and the conversation will continue until 3 p.m.

Additional information along with a registration form will be sent out approximately six weeks prior to the event.

The Memorial Student Center is located at 302 10th Avenue in Menomonie.
