Feb. Bloodmobile collects 40 units

COLFAX — Due to the efforts of many donors, volunteer workers and contributors, the Red Cross Bloodmobile at Colfax United Methodist Church on February 27 collected 40 units.

Colfax Kiwanis members helped with the set-up.

Bethany Lutheran Church members provided the cookies and lunch for the Red Cross workers.

The 22ers 4-H club provided cheese and crackers.

In fact, many volunteers helped to make this bloodmobile another success.

The 40 units collected on February 27 were especially significant, because in January, about 230 American Red Cross blood drives in 23 states were cancelled due to inclement weather.
