KENTUCKY — From October 28 to November 1, five Glenwood City FFA members attended the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.
Members who attended were Kip Wallace, Allison Curvello, Abby Kahler, Wesley Franklin, and Jim Buttles.
On the way to Louisville, the members toured Fair Oaks Dairy in Indiana, one of the largest dairy facilities in the world.
While in Louisville, the members toured multiple horse tracks, including Churchill Downs, Keeneland Farms, and multiple other equine facilities.
The goal of these tours was to expose students to the equine and equine racing sector of the agriculture industry, as it plays an important role in that region of our country.
At the National Convention, the Glenwood City FFA members experienced an extremely extensive career fair and were able to learn about many different career and college opportunities.
The members also went to sessions that included motivational speakers and awards for the top FFA members in the country.
The members also attended a Justin Moore Concert, and the World’s Toughest Rodeo while in Louisville.
All five of the members enjoyed their time in Louisville and brought back valuable leadership experiences for the chapter.
