Colfax-Bloomer grapplers go 3-0 at Cameron Meet

It was a pretty successful day for the Colfax-Bloomer wrestling team after they won matches against Unity, Cameron and Northwestern at the Cameron Invite Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Colfax-Bloomer 42-Unity 36

Matt Shaw, Brady Chance, Ike Kramschuster, Brady Simonson, Jarrod Kressin, Jon Hayton and Zack Arvold all won their matches for the C-B squad. With the score knotted at 36-36, Arvold, wrestling at 160 pounds put the hammer down and pinned his opponent in 1:07 to secure the win for the team.

Colfax-Bloomer 40-Cameron 30

Arvold led off the match with an 11-3 major decision while Austin Summerfield and Cole Anderson-Olson won by forfeits. Shaw won via a pin at 2:46, Chance won on a forfeit, Kressin won on a pin at 1:25 and with C-B up just 34-30, Hayton sealed the deal for the team with a pin just 56 seconds into his match at 152 pounds.

Colfax-Bloomer 46-Northwestern 33

Arvold finished 3-0 for the meet with an 18-8 major decision at 160 pounds, Summerfield won by another forfeit, Anderson-Olson pinned his guy in 2:48, Eric Wachtendonk took another forfeit and Chance went 3-0 with a pin at 1:06 for a 28-12 C-B lead. Jacob Malinowski added team points with a fall at the 1:30 mark, Simonson came up with a pin at 1:56 in his match and Kressin put his opponent on his back with his third pin of the meet at 4:58 for the 13 point C-B win.
