Annual Food Fight Challenge to be held at GCHS home game against BHS October 3

It’s that time of year again when football fans and students from both Glenwood City and Boyceville come together to help fight hunger at the local level. This year BHS fans will travel to the home football field of GCHS not only to play football but to win back the title of Food Fight Challenge Champs! Last year the Glenwood City School District won this title!

Please mark your calendars and stock your vehicles with extra food and monetary donations for the October 3rd game. Your donations will be tallied towards the team of your choice. All food and proceeds will be used to help support the West CAP Food Access and Resource Center’s Food Pantry which serves all  residents in need from the Boyceville and Glenwood City School districts as well as the Glenwood City Backpack Program.

Food and donations can also be dropped off at the Food Access and Resource Center located at 823 Main Street Boyceville or at West CAP’s administrative office in Glenwood City prior to the game for those unable to attend which will also be included in the challenge.

This year make your “cents” count!  Feed My People Food Bank of Eau Claire, WI has challenged the citizens of Glenwood City and Boyceville as well.  They will match all monetary donations up to $5,000 with a pound of free food for each dollar raised!  This means that West CAP will get 5,000 pounds of free product to distribute between the food pantry and the Back Pack program!  Please help us reach this goal and make this the best challenge ever!
