Colfax Health and Rehab News – 6-18-2014

June is flying by because we are staying so busy!

Sue lead us with devotions, readings and exercise on Monday morning. In the afternoon we enjoyed a nice summer treat of ice cream sundaes on “Sundae-Monday.”

On Tuesday it was Cathy and Veda’s turn to lead us with devotions, readings and exercise before we played a few rounds of prize bingo. We ended the day with happy hour and visiting before ball class.

Pastor Schoenknecht led our church service on Wednesday morning. A few residents were taken on a joy ride to Bloomer for another taste of ice cream from DQ. Penny chauffeured while Veda rode shotgun. Cathy kept the rest of the troops busy with watching the Carol Burnett Variety Show and munching on popcorn.

On Thursday all gathered for volleyball in the square. We took it easy that afternoon with beauty boutique. Pink and purple summer hues were the popular choice.

Glen, Julie, & Delores lead our Friday Gospel sing as usual. It always fills the halls with a calming sweet sound. Loretta came in to do Rosary for our Catholic residents. We played Bingo again in the afternoon and socialized over happy hour. Veda, Linnea, and Julie helped many days, which is always appreciated.

Hollywood and family visits were the highlight of the weekend.

That’s all for now in the land of Colfax where the men and women, along with the children, enjoyed the Annual Colfax Free Fair.
