ATLANTA — Glenwood City High School student, Jacob Hennessy, recently traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for the International Career Development DECA Conference.

Hennessy had an incredibly successful trip as he earned the organization’s highest honors after putting his skills to the test in the final round of competition in the Automotive Services Marketing event.

Prior to Atlanta, Jake competed in that event at the state level and he took fourth placed against roughly 30 other competitors, which gave him the opportunity to travel to Atlanta.

Jake participated in an open session on the first day, which was Saturday, May 3. He then took a 100 point Marketing exam the following day. The third day there he did some role playing and then on the final day he had the preliminary awards session.
