Sand Creek Chatter – 4-16-2014

The Easter Bunny will be giving out treats at the Old school in Sand Creek on Saturday, April 19th at 10 a.m. If weather permits and it’s not too wet, we will meet at Memorial Park instead for an Egg Hunt.

 Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Dean Lindau who passed away on Friday, April 11. Visitation took place on Monday, April 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Medford. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15 with a meal that followed the service, all taking place at St. Paul’s Lutheran church at 321 N. Park Ave. in Medford.

Gerhard Nyhus returned to Sand Creek on Friday, April 4 after visiting his daughter, Naomi and her husband, Scott Hartmann at Chandler, Arizona. The three of them had dinner with Elaine Toycen and Dorean Arneson at the home of John and Marlene Gundale one evening during the visit. They enjoyed nice weather. Naomi took her dad for a ride up into Tonto National forest, a non-service road traveling 100 miles.

Harlan and Lana Anderson attended the Roselawn Elementary School Spring concert on Tuesday evening, April 8 where their grandsons, Isaac and Luke Anderwson participated. They are the children of Marc and Kristen Anderson.

Michael and Kelly Nelson and Sharon Nelson attended the Roselawn Spring concert on Tuesday evening of April 8 where Zoe and Noah performed and Zoe had a solo.

Lauren and Bailey Hayes, the children of Stacy and Ryan Hayes and grandchildren of Merton and Marie Swanson were among those who participated in the Roselawn Elementary School Spring concert on Tuesday evening of April 8.

Benson and Kelsi Paulson, the children of Aaron and Jenica Paulson participated in the concert at Roselawn Elementary School on Tuesday evening of April 8. They are the grandchildren of Dan and Debbie Paulson.

Kevin and Kirsten Townsend and little Tate recently traveled to Oklahoma to visit Wade and Heidi Frie, Joe, Katey and Adam for a week.

George and Deloresapril attended a 40th Wedding Anniversary party for George’s nephew, Wes and Charlene Vlcek held at the Grand Occasions in Osseo on Saturday, April 12. Several of their own family members were present as well, providing good family fellowship.

Rocky Thompson of Minocqua visited his mother, Sue Piotrowski on Sunday, April 13, Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15.

Tessa Gustum and Abigail Gustum are playing their violins in the orchestra that is performing with the Passion Play held at the State Theater in Eau Claire this week.

Brenda Espeseth and Nancy Erickson attended the Barbershoppers’ concert in Colfax on Saturday evening, April 12.
