GC students honored at Academic Awards Breakfast

GLENWOOD CITY — Glenwood City High School recently honored several students for their academic successes.

The annual Academic Awards Breakfast was held Thursday morning, Feb. 27 in the commons area and recognized those students that had achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average in the 2012-13 Spring semester, 2013-14 Fall semester or both.

Students are awarded a certificate and star for each semester that earned the academic letter award.

Earning the award (by semester) were:

Spring Semester 2012-13 Only

Sophomores: Owen Anderson, Arielle Arons, Taylor Brittain, Wesley Franklin, Jack Kremer, Marne Lewis, and Kathryn Vang.

Seniors: Samantha Hurtis and Richard Ross.

Fall Semester 2013-14 Only

Freshmen: Tiana Carlson, Brittany Clemens, Allen Croes, Taylor Drinkman, Rachelle Fern, Ashley Harkless, Corey Klatt, Jacob Logghe, Kelsey Magsam, Julie McNamara, Nicole Peabody, Morgan Peterson, Kaylie Scalze, Catherine Schurtz, Jacob Traynor, and Jacob Wittmer.
