Sand Creek Chatter – 2-19-2014

The Sand Creek 4-H Pipers Club delivered lovely plates of decorated Valentine cookies to all the Sand Creek seniors on Sunday, February 9th. They were beautiful and very tasty.

Doris and Herb Tallman and Joan Lindau traveled to Cornucopia (by Bayfield) on February 11th to see the ice caves on Lake Superior, then stayed overnight and returned to Sand Creek and Medford on Wednesday, February 12.

Rodney and Carolyn Dahl celebrated the Valentine’s holiday with Carolyn’s brother, Loren and Carol Mikula on February 14th at the Steak House in Eau Claire.

Aaron and Britney Anderson of Champaign, Illinois spent the week-end of Feb. 14th to 16th with their families including Sandra Anderson, Warren and Mary Mikula.

The Blue Grass group of the Midnight Coal Company entertained a large group of listeners at the Grace Room of the Old School on Saturday evening, February 15th.

Sandy Timm is now leading the Sand Creek Piper Cloverbuds (Ages kdg to second grade). There are 10 members and they met on February 9th for their first meeting to learn the 4-H pledge. They will meet again on Sunday, February 23rd at the home of Jerry and Sandy Timm for a food lesson.

Sympathy is extended to Merline Rufledt and family and friends in the loss of Merline’s mother, Selma Lee, whose funeral was held at Bethel Lutheran church in Joice, Iowa on January 20th.

Judy Gronning of Eau Claire joined Jean Hanson, Lillian Wendlandt and Swanee Rasmussen for noon lunch at the Sand Creek Café on Friday, February 14th.

Plan to attend the Korman family with Blue Grass music on Saturday evening, of March 1st at 7 p..m. at the Grace Room of the Old School. You will enjoy the privilege of a freewill donation for the event.

The Independent Bible church congregation in Sand Creek enjoyed Valentine fellowship with a pot-luck dinner after their morning church services on Sunday, February 16th.
