Swanee Rasmussen and Carol Squires visited Gerald and Anna Madison at The Maplewood in Bloomer on Friday evening, January 31st.

Merlin and Vickie Dodge from Altoona and Bob and Mary Dodge of Rusk were Sunday dinner guests of Paul and LouAnn Gilberts on January 19.

Paul and LouAnn Gilberts went to Menomonie on Friday evening, January 31 to celebrate Taylor Mars’ 6th birthday at the home of his parents, Jimmy and Krista Mars and brother, Sam.

Gaylon and Hannah Greenhill joined the Anderson clan for breakfast at the Sand Creek Café on Saturday morning, February 1 before the return to Whitewater that day.

The Bluegrass Jam in the Grace Room at the Olde School had “full house” on Saturday, February 1st.  Local fiddlers, Tessa Gustum and Abigail Gustum each took part in the musical presentations accompanied by Sam Gustum on guitar.

Sue Dahl is in the area from Alaska, so she and her sister, Kathy Nelson of Cambridge, MN, attended the Saturday evening Bluegrass Jam, along with Jim Knutson and Sonja Knutson.

Winter is a wonderful time to read, while you check out your books also “check out” the beautiful “learning tree” which is the new focal point of the library in Sand Creek.  The decal was donated by Adeen Johnson’s niece Kirsten Rain and family and was expertly installed by Sand Creek’s own LouAnn Gilberts and Kelly Timm owners of Carpe Diem in Chetek.  Kids, stop by the library and pick up your Valentine’s Day Snoopy bookmark available until Feb. 15.

Harlan and Lana Anderson helped their son-in-law, Adam Kirby of Augusta, celebrate his birthday early on January 31.

Sunday, February 2, Harlan and Lana Anderson had dinner out with Marc and Kristen Anderson, Isaac and Luke to celebrate Kristen’s birthday.

Harlan and Lana Anderson had overnight guests on February 2 when Bob and Norma Klimpke came from Cedarburg.  Norma joined Lana Anderson at New Hope Lutheran Church for Quilting on Monday, February 3.
