Sand Creek Chatter – 1-15-2014

Sand Creek Arts presents the Seeger Boys, Saturday, January 18th at the Sand Creek Arts. The doors open at 6:15, snacks before and dessert at intermission available for free-will donation to the Sand Creek Arts Music Fund. The Seeger Boys are a blue grass family band. They are frequent visitors of the monthly blue grass jams and have performed in concert last year in Sand Creek. Everyone raved about the band’s talent and how much fun they had at last year’s concert. Come and see what everyone is talking about and enjoy yourself listening to some good music.

 Lyndon and Kathy Peterson entertained their family on Christmas Eve Day with Jon and Anne Peterson and also Dan and Sue Smith and Mason, home for Christmas.

Anita Jenson spent Christmas Eve day with her son, John Jenson that also included Carrie Johnson, Breanna, Cody and Emily and John’s daughter, Ali. Anita Jenson also enjoyed Christmas with her daughter, Jodi and Joe Chojnacki and sons, Carter and Kennan.

Sandy Anderson hosted Christmas Eve dinner for Norma and Bob Klimpke, Harlan and Lana Anderson and Carol Anderson.

On Christmas Day, Dale and Sue Paulson celebrated Christmas with son, Eric Paulson, Sara and Ben Knepper and Eddie and Cindy Schaller.

Christmas Day was celebrated at Sandy Anderson’s sisters, Carol Anderson and Norma and Bob Klimpke.

On Sunday, December 29, Dale and Sue Paulson hosted the Paulson get-together that included: Dan and Debbie Paulson and three children, Aaron and Jenica Paulson and their three children, Lynn and his fiancée, Bekah Neseth, Roger Paulson and Eric Paulson, Ben and Sara Knepper and Eddie.

Bob and Mary Hanson returned from Arizona for Christmas and had dinner at Sandy Anderson’s with Bob and Norma Klimpke and Sharon Hegna.

Karen Hegna and Sharon Hegna were in Sand Creek during the holidays to celebrate with relatives and friends.

On Friday, December 27, Dan and Debbie Paulson hosted their family to celebrate Christmas that included: Troy and Becky Paulson, Addie, David and Analese, Aaron and Jenica Paulson, Benson, Kelsey and Danica and Lynn Paulson and his fiancée, Bekah.

Paul and Lou Ann Gilberts entertained friends and family at their home on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, they were invited to the John and Marilyn Mars home in Menomonie. Other guests of the Mars were: Jimmy and Krista Mars, Sam and Taylor Mars and Christi Mars and Amy Anderson.

On December 26th, Lou Ann visited her aunt, Evelyn McCullum at Knapp Haven where she was joined by cousins, Judi McCullum and Arloa Anderson. Guests of Paul and Lou Ann on New Year’s Eve were: Clay and Kelly Timm and children, Alex, Maggie and Adam, Jimmy and Krista Mars and children, Sam and Taylor, Scott and Amy Gilberts.

Aaron and Britney Anderson were home from Illinois to attend the wedding of Britney’s cousin, Kayla Holter and Trent North.

Holiday visitors abounded at the Jerry and Sandy Timm home. They were joined by Jerry’s mother, Phyllis from Wautoma for a six-day stay. Son Eric and partner, Tim came from Los Angeles for four days. Joining them were: daughter, Shelby with husband, Phillip Fader and children, Kylie and Jordan of Rice Lake. Son, Clayton and wife, Kelly, along with Alex, Maggie and Adam of Sand Creek dropped in often. Daughter, Mary Alice Tesosie, granddaughter, Alissa Waukau and friend, Justin Birdbear came from Albuquerke, New Mexico. They were joined by granddaughter, Allison Wauka and nephew Calvin of Keshina. Sandy’s father, Arlyn Ewert of Chippewa Falls arrived with her brother and wife, Brad and Peggy Ewert of Eau Claire who also brought her grandson, Jordan. Local residents, Bob and Kathy LeFevere joined them all for dinner on Christmas Day. Jerry hitched up the horse and new sleigh for some scenic rides through the cold white snow, especially enjoyed by the California visitors.

Sandy Anderson, Karen Hegna and Sharon Hegna had brunch at Jake’s on January 5th with Doug Olson of Shrevesport, Louisiana and his mother, Lee Brokaski of Menomonie.

Rhonda Nelson and her friend, Kevin, stopped at Morningside Apts. on Saturday, January 11th to give Rhonda’s godmother, Swanee Rasmussen a bouquet of flowers and have a special visit.

Tom and Caryl Schoen hosted a birthday supper at their home on Saturday evening January 11th to celebrate Swanee’s 90th birthday. Guests included: George and Delores Vlcek, Glenn and Margie Anderson and Mary Knutson, totaling 8 at the table.

Friends at Independent Bible church celebrated Swanhild Rasmussen’s 90th birthday after church services on Sunday, January 12 with cakes provided by Judy Horn and also a cake ordered by Swanhild’s daughter, Carol and John Squires of Maryland. Plus a red rose in a bud vase to enhance the event.
