Sand Creek Arts is sponsoring two events:

Saturday. Dec 7th 6:30 pm–Blue Grass Jam.

Sunday, Dec 8th Soup & Sing 5:30 pm–Gustum Family concert; Soup at 6:00 pm with holiday sing-a-long following.

 Library News: Mark your calendar for this annual event: Saturday, December 21 11 am-1 pm. at the Sand Creek Arts building/Old School. The library will be partnering with the Fire Department to bring the “Ride with Santa”. Come to the library and take your ride, then come back and the kids can have cocoa and make treats, crafts and experience other fun activities.

Glenn and Margie Anderson hosted an evening dinner at their home on Thursday, November 21 for Tom and Caryl Schoen, Mary Knutson and Swanee Rasmussen in celebration of Caryl Schoen’s birthday.

Swanee Rasmussen and Carol Squires visited Delores Krahn in Eau Claire on Tuesday, November 26. Swanee and Delores attended high school and college together.

Thanksgiving weekend guests of Mae Sparby were: Pastor Michael Sparby, Nick and Erick, Ron and Mary Keller, Nate and Ashley Bingenheimer, Glen Waterhouse and Dawn Waterhouse.

The traditional Anderson Thanksgiving took place at The Grace Room in the Olde School. Those attending were: Glenn and Margie Anderson, John and Cory Schneider, Matthew, Daniel and Andrew, Robert and Norma Klimpke, Steven and Amy Klimpke and children, Nicole and Max, Sandra Anderson, Carol Anderson, Sharon Hegna, Karen Hegna, Bill Messinger, Billy and Jacob, Joanie Williams, Lana Anderson, Colby and Kristin Turner, Trent and Rachel, Adam and Beth Kirby.

Harlan and Lana Anderson held a Thanksgiving celebration for their children and families on Wednesday, November 27 at their home. Those attending were: Marc and Kristen Anderson, Isaac and Luke, Kristin and Colby Turner, Trent and Rachel, Beth and Adam Kirby.

Harlan and Lana Anderson went out to the Minneapolis Airport on Sunday, November 24 to pick up Kristin and Colby Turner, Trent and Rachel. They took them to the airport for the return trip to Gila Bend, AZ on Friday, November 29.

Mary Knutson, Heidi Kodesh, Dawn and Claire Knutson enjoyed a trip together to Hawaii from November 8-17. They traveled to the island of Maui. One of the highlights on that island was a road trip to Hana. One day they flew over to the island of Oahu and took in the sights of Pearl Harbor. They also attended a luau with traditional Polynesian dances.

Mary Knutson spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving with her brother, Patrick Madison, Darlene and daughters at the Eau Claire hospital where Pat is recovering from surgery. On Friday after Thanksgiving, Mary Knutson entertained her family as well as Dave and Carol Busta and David Busta for a Thanksgiving meal.

Phil and Connie Cruse went out to eat on Thanksgiving Day.

Nina and Elwood Donaldson cooked Thanksgiving dinner for Audrey Weaver and Andrew Candler at Morningside Apartments.

Gaylon and Hannah Greenhill invited Swanhild Rasmussen and her daughter, Carol, to lunch at the Sand Creek Café on Friday, November 29.

Tom and Caryl Schoen hosted Thanksgiving for their family, including daughter, Tammi Benson and Jim, son Bill Schoen and Kim, daughter Dawn and Jeff Teske, and grandchildren, Corey Benson and friend Dominic, Aly, Jake and Luke Teske.

Kenny and Sharon Nelson hosted Thanksgiving for their family, including the Nelson children and grandchildren, the Killoren’s and their children and Elizabeth Brenden.

Jerry and Sandy Timm hosted Thanksgiving for Arlyn Ewert of Chippewa Falls, Brad and Peggy Ewert of Chippewa Falls, and Jordan of Rice Lake, Mary Alice Tsosie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alicia and Bhez Butler and Grace of Minneapolis, Clay and Kelly Timm and Alex, Maggie and Adam.

Avis Hanson enjoyed Thanksgiving with Sue and Rich Carlson, Sherri and Wyatt Hanson, and grandson, Michael Edington. Sue cooked at Comforts of Home where they all enjoyed the meal together. After dinner, the family visited Lillian Hanson at the Comforts of Home in Chippewa Falls.

David and Shelly Rae entertained dinner guests on Thanksgiving, including Kim and Matthew Weiss of Eau Claire, Mike and Diane Vaughn, Zachary and Haley of New Auburn, Tom and Judy Vaughn also of New Auburn, the Shelly’s children, Megan, Kaylee and Sean and friends they had invited, Jordan, Jeremy and Dariel.

Rod and Carolyn Dahl were guests of Audrey and Ray Parrett in Eau Claire on Thanksgiving Day, also their daughter, Karin Parrett from Arizona, Julie and Marissa Cyrus. Friday, they celebrated the birthday of Julie Cyrus and David Dahl with the family.

Joel and Karen Smith hosted Thanksgiving dinner for the family, including Terry and Carolyn Sayles, Aunt Marilyn Wason and daughter, Ann, Uncle Jack and Bobbie Sayles, Gene and Bonnie Peterson.

Jean Hanson entertained many family members on Thanksgiving Day including daughter Jolene and Scott Frey, Hudson, Hayden and friend, Nicole, son Karl and Hannah and family, Dave and Janice Wendlandt, Jonathan Wendlandt and family, Jordan Wendlandt and family, and Jamison, grandson, Kyle and friend, also Judy Gronning, Swanee Rasmussen and daughter Carol Squires.

Lillian Wendlandt visited her daughter Marion and Michael, along with their daughter and family in Hudson during the week of Thanksgiving.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Barry Lofthus whose funeral is at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer with the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Arnold (Arnie) Greenhill, of Shawano, WI. He was the son of Harold and Evelyn Greenhill and grew up in Sand Creek.
