National Bus Safety Week October 21st-25th, 2013

National Bus Safety Week was celebrated the week of October 21st-October 25th. The School District of Colfax would like to take this opportunity to thank our bus drivers for their dedication and commitment to transporting our students to and from school safely.

On Wednesday, October 23, School District of Colfax Bus Drivers led Colfax students through the bus safety evacuation procedures. This is an annual drill that students and bus drivers participate in to practice/apply emergency procedures ensuring the safety of all passengers. Along with that, Colfax Elementary students participated in daily trivia questions related to bus safety rules and procedures. Students were given an opportunity to enter a drawing for a prize if they had the correct answer. Our goal was to find unique ways to encourage students to review and learn bus rider rules and gain understanding so students could practice and better understand the importance of bus safety. Safety is our top priority. Again, thank you Colfax Bus Drivers!
