Colfax spikers win bronze division at Altoona Tournament

After losing matches against Chippewa Falls and Immanuel Lutheran to start the day at the Altoona Volleyball Tournament, the Colfax girls moved in to bracket play and defeated Somerset 25-17, 25-19, then defeated Durand 25-14 and 25-17 to place seventh in the Bronze Division. The Vikings were seventh overall in the tournament.

Kori Buchanan led the offensive surge with 24 kills for the day and eight service aces. Braanna Steen and Taylor Shipman each finished with 16 kills while Emily Halpin and Chey Olson both collected 10. Dannielle Dachel was the assist leader with 61, Chey Olson came up with 22 digs with Alexis Rudi adding 19 and Dachel 18 and Steen and Halpin plugged things up at the net with five block kills apiece.
