Chippewa County Rural Heritage Fall Affair Held

By Linda Prince McCluskey

Chippewa County Rural Heritage Classic Antique Tractor Club met on Saturday and Sunday September 28-29 for an event. As usual, it was a time of socialization and fun for all participants.

This zealous group of antique enthusiasts gathered to experience a couple of days of antique tractor/wagon riding and some old fashioned oat threshing/straw baling.

The group has decided to pursue a more casual approach for the club’s direction and will no longer be offering memberships. Everyone is just automatically invited to the events to show off your machinery or ride on the wagons. All food, water and activities of these get togethers will now be on a free will offering basis. We will still be having our spring
and fall rides/activities/exhibitions and our April pancake breakfast. This includes our spring tillage and planting and our fall threshing and harvesting times. Many of us also choose to ride in local parades and festivals. All are encouraged to participate.
