Colfax Class of 1941/1942 hold reunion

The Colfax High School graduating Class of 1941 and 1942 held their class reunion on September 14, 2013 at the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax.

Those who attended from the Class of 1941 were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ausderau; Vernoid and Ardys (Maukstad) Hovland; Dale and Vicki (Iverson) Hendricks;  Elaine (Bartilson) Froiland; and three visitors: Arlene Horn, Ruby (Lokthus) Moate, Jon Maves.

Those who attended from the Class of 1942 were Vergene (Erickson) Viets; Javerna Fjelsted; Lillian (Gilberts) Wendlundt; Phyllis (Olson) Peterson; Elaine (Sparby) Toycen; Lloyd and Lillian Hainstock; and visitor Swanee Rasmussen.

They received phone calls and letters from: Edina, Weston, Wausau, Utah, and Louisiana.

Marcella (Buchner) Thorvelson was not able to come.

During the past year the following have passed away: Class of 1941 – Herman Rihn; Class of 1942, George Anderson of Arizona, and Maynard Nelson of Edina (who passed away 2-3 days before the reunion).

Flowers were given to Mrs. Marvel Entzminger to honor her as their only teacher who is still living, from the Class of 1941, Class of 1942, and the Colfax Floral Shop.

Only one life, it will soon be past. What we do with Jesus is the thing that really counts. Don’t wait until tomorrow to make a decision for Christ, for that tomorrow may never come and then it will be too late.
