Mayo employees donate school supplies

EAU CLAIRE — Mayo Clinic Health System facilities throughout northwest Wisconsin recently collected more than 3,300 school supplies for children attending area schools. Employees donated items from mid-July through the end of August that were given to schools and charities for the start of the school year.

Among items collected include backpacks, folders, notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers and calculators.

Schools in the following communities received items:

• Boyceville
• Cameron
• Chetek
• Chippewa Falls
• Colfax
• Eau Claire
• Elmwood
• Glenwood City
• Menomonie
• Mondovi
• New Auburn
• Osseo
• Prairie Farm

The Boys and Girls Club of Barron County also received items.

“It was another great school supply drive,” says Mayo Clinic Health System Employee Volunteer Committee chair Lynn Salter. “We wish all our communities’ children a happy and healthy return to school.”
