Merry Mixers to feature Eva Mewes and her new book “My Basket of Words”

COLFAX — Eva Mewes, a member of the Chippewa Valley Writers’ Group, will be the featured speaker at the Colfax Merry Mixers meeting September 5.

 Mewes’ newest book, “My Basket of Words,” was recently published by Monarch Tree Publishing. She also is a contributing author to “Just Read the Darn Thing!” by members of the Chippewa Valley Writers’ Group and is the author of “Woman on the Edge of Age” and “Hubey Gets Me Hitched.”

Eva is the daughter of Lois Grabo, who taught school in the Colfax school district for many years. She lives in rural Wheeler.

The Colfax Merry Mixers Thursday, September 5, meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at the Grapevine Senior Center on Main Street in Colfax.

Servers for September are Lillian Hainstock and Kathy Tape.
