Colfax linksters open season

After senior Whitney DeMoe competed at a meet in Bristol Ridge Golf Course in Somerset Aug. 20, all three members of the Colfax girls’ golf team competed  at a meet in Hayward two days later.

Whitney DeMoe led the group with a round of 88, five strokes behind the medalist and placed third. Hannah DeMoe finished with a score of 105 while Allie Yingst shot a round of 120.

In the Somerset meet, Whitney shot a 90, putting her third among 53 competitors and was just one stroke away from second place and five strokes behind the leader.
