Spaeth receives AgStar scholarship

MANKATO, MN – AgStar Financial Services recently awarded Kaylin Spaeth, a senior at Glenwood City High School, a $500 educational scholarship.

Spaeth is the daughter of AgStar’s Vicky Spaeth, senior closing specialist in Baldwin. She plans to attend University of Wisconsin-River Falls to pursue a degree in Agriculture Business.

Each year, AgStar awards scholarships to qualifying students with a parent employed by or on the board of the organization. This year, AgStar awarded $5,000 in scholarship funds to team member dependents pursuing their education in agriculture or business related fields this fall.

“AgStar believes that education is the key for empowering young people to pursue careers in agriculture,” said Tami Risk, Sr. Compensation and Benefits Analyst at AgStar. “Through programs like this, we’ve made a commitment to further the achievements of young people and to contribute to the future success of agriculture.”

Recipients were selected based on their superior academic achievement and vocational promise. Students who were enrolled in or planned to enroll in an institution of higher education, had a GPA of 3.0 or better and planned to pursue an undergraduate degree in an agricultural or business related field were eligible for the scholarship.
