Colfax fifth graders complete DARE program
COLFAX — 84 fifth graders from Colfax Elementary School celebrated the completion of the Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education (DARE) program taught by Dunn County officer Rod Dicus. The program teaches students to make healthy choices during their life and they made a pledge to stay drug and alcohol free.
Students all wrote an essay on the importance of making good choices and several of them were chosen to read their essays during the ceremony. Those who read were Hunter Larson, Kayla Schofield, Aza Knaack, Sawyer Best, Phillip Taylor, Jayna Bowe, Rachel Scharlau and Remington Larson. Fifth grade teachers are Mrs. Hovland, Mrs. Blomberg, Mrs. Yingst and Mrs. Kiekhafer. Fifth graders in the program include:
