Sand Creek Chatter – 5-15-2013

Save the date: On Monday, May 20th, 2013, 12:30-2:00p.m., Join State Representative, Tom Larson & Senator, Terry Moulton for a listening session at the Sand Creek Arts building in the Grace Room. Will discuss the 2013-2015 budget-Assembly Bill (AB) 40–and other legislative priorities.; “Getting feedback from my constituents really gives me the chance to know what folks see as the most pressing local and state issues.”

 On Friday, May 3, Aaron and Britney Anderson ran in the 5K Race in Champaign. Aaron is a graduate student at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL and his wife, Britney is a pharmacist at the VA in Danville, IL. They were joined by Britney’s maid of honor, Amy, from Madison and another pharmacy classmate, joined in the race.

On Saturday morning of May 4th they got up early and all ran in the Half-Marathon 13.1 miles. In regards to the future, Aaron and Britney and their dog, Mabel, are making plans to come to this area for Memorial Day weekend.

Judy Reetz visited her sister, Audrey, at Plum City Nursing Home on Monday, May 6 and she also stopped at Colfax for her granddaughter, Addison Wolf’s Track Meet so she could watch her run while representing Elmwood’s 8th grade.

Mark Payne and Mary Reetz of Jim Falls, Louie and Judy Reetz took strawberries and angel food cake for all the residents at Country Terrace in Bloomer on Wednesday, May 8th to celebrate Esther Reetz’s 88th birthday.

Avis Hanson was invited to her daughter, Susan and Rich Carlson’s home in Chippewa Falls for dinner on Mother’s Day with all of their children joining them.

Peter Hanson and Sherri and Wyatt visited Avis Hanson on Saturday, May 11.

Tim and Dawn Knutson, Owen and Claire, entertained Mary Knutson and Scott and Heidi Kodesh for dinner on Mother’s Day.

On Wednesday, May 8th, Bob and Mary Hanson, traveled to Oconomowoc so Mary could attend the Mother-Daughter Banquet with Katie and Jenna on Wednesday evening at their church. They stayed on a couple of days and returned to Sand Creek on Saturday, May 11th.

David and DeeAnn Dahl, Denae, Anna, and Jaclyn Dahl, Julie Cyrus and Marissa came to spend Mother’s Day with Rod and Carolyn Dahl on Mother’s Day.

Jim and Jessica Hanson and all of their family had breakfast with Bob and Mary Hanson on Mother’s Day.

Then Sandy Anderson joined Bob and Mary Hanson for dinner at noon with Bob and Mary Hanson.

Joel and Karen Smith, Jack and Ryan entertained their parents for Mother’s Day including Terry and Carolyn Sayles from White Bear lake and also Gene and Bonnie Peterson.

Marc and Kristen Anderson, Isaac and Luke, planned dinner for Warren and Jeanette Schade, Karen Sharon and her son, Brady, Adam and Beth Kirby, Harlan and Lana Anderson at an area restaurant for Mother’s Day.

Carol Anderson joined Glenn and Margie Anderson at their home for Mother’s Day dinner on Sunday.

Nancy Berg, Connie Curtis, Kathy Follendorf, Maureen Scott and Judy Horn attended the Dunn County Home and Community Education Spring Fling on Wednesday evening, May 8th in Menomonie. Entertainment for the evening was violin and piano solos by Dominique Stewart.

Michael and Betsy Horn, Mitchell and Jonathan Horn visited at the home of Toby and Judy Horn on Saturday, May 11th in honor of Mother’s Day. They brought a pizza lunch and peanut butter pie for dessert! A real treat.

Swanhild Rasmussen was a 4:30 supper guest of Hannah and Gaylon Greenhill when they enjoyed a fun-time at the Dairy Quee on Mother’s Day.

Rhonda Nelson made a nice visit with a floral surprise for her godmother, Swanhild Rasmussen on Mother’s Day. Very special.

Lillian Hanson picked up Avis Hanson and went to Chippewa Falls for Mother’s Day.
