Mounders compete at Viking Invite

COLFAX – With each team allowed just two entries in each event, the Elk Mound boys placed second in a field of 13 teams while the girls were third of 15 teams at the Viking Invitational held on a sunny day with temperatures finally in the 70s May 7 in Colfax. Winning events for the boys were Jonah Bauer (100 m dash), Dakota Tarnow (110 high hurdles), Josiah Bauer (shot put) and the 4 X 200 relay. Andie Friberg (pole vault) and Alyssa Buros (shot put) were individual winners to lead the girls. Menomonie, a Division 1 team and a late entry to the meet, won both the boys and girls divisions.
