GLENWOOD CITY — The Salutatorian for the Class of 2013 at the Glenwood City High School is Ethan Brandt.

Brandt is the son of Joel and Dianne Brandt.

Brandt has been a very active student in the school district throughout his four years in the high school, always with his charismatic personality.

Brandt has participated or been a member in DECA, Science Olympiad, Forensics, Honors Choir and Band, Jazz Band, School Productions, G-Club, National Honors Society, Tech Education, Cross County and Track and Field.

Brandt has spent some time in the lime light as he was a state qualifier in both sports, which has been one of his most memorable high school moments.

“Standing in front of the school for pep fests is one of my most memorable moments; it is a feeling unlike any other,” shared Brandt.

“Going to Orlando for a band trip, long bus rides, trips to Menomonie, the prom accident and the high school play were also favorite memories,” he said.

When it comes to the education part of school with classes, Ethan enjoys every aspect.

“Every class is enjoyable in their own way. Each subject has its highlights, each teacher has their fun side. It is hard to put one before the other,” shared Ethan.

Ethan plans to carry along with family tradition for his educational path as he will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall with a major in General Engineering.
