Sand Creek Chatter – 4-10-2013

Rod and Carolyn Dahl hosted Easter dinner for David and DeAnn Dahl and children Andrew, Denae, Anna and Jaclyn of Woodville, WI. Also present were Julie and Marissa Cyrus and Julie’s friend, Darwin.

On Palm Sunday, Lyndon and Kathy Peterson and their whole family enjoyed brunch at Jake’s in Menomonie. On Easter Sunday Dan and Sue entertained Kathy, Lynn, Anne Peterson and Delvin Smith at their home.

Thelma Waterhouse enjoyed the company of her son Allen and Deb along with 18-20 other guests who had gathered for Easter.

Visiting Glenn and Margie Anderson was their son John and grandchildren Tyler and Haley from Peoria, IL. While there John attended a paintball contest in Milwaukee, WI.

Rocky Thompson of Minocqua, WI was home for Easter Sunday to visit his mother, Sue Piotrowski.

Inez Schrader’s son Lynn treated her to Easter dinner in Bloomer, WI. On Monday, her other son Lee from Durand, WI took his mother to Hudson, WI to visit a 96 year old friend residing at Red Cedar Assisted Living.

Snort Gilberts will be enjoying the company Mark and daughter Cindy this week. They are planning to visit friends throughout the area.

Speaking of visiting…on April 4th a mother black bear and her “3” baby cubs impressively visited travelers on Hwy 25 north of Menomonie.

The home of Dale and Sue Paulson was filled on Easter Sunday with son Eric, Sarah, Ben and Eddie Knepper of Chetek, Roger Paulson of Lino Lakes, MN and Torchy Schaller and Cindy from Whitehall, WI.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Richard Christopherson whose funeral was held at New Hope Lutheran Church of Pine Creek on Good Friday, March 29th. Nina Donaldson is the sister of Richard.

Elwood and Nina Donaldson had Easter dinner with Vivian Lundequam at the Pioneer Nursing Home in Prairie Farm.

Easter weekend guests at Joanie Williams were her great grandsons, Billy and Jacob Messenger. They attended the Easter Party at the Sand Creek Gym and had their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

John and Gwen Paulson enjoyed Easter Sunday dinner with the Paulson family at Wes and Deloris in Altoona, WI.

Swanee Rasmussen is recovering at home following an overnight stay at Bloomer Memorial Hospital. She is doing considerably better and very appreciative of all those who helped her in her recovery process.

Audrey Weaver enjoyed a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kiekhafer of St. Paul, MN on April 2nd.

Lois Aasen entertained 18 members of her family at Morningside Apartments in Sand Creek on Easter Sunday.

Susan Carlson and Isabella picked up Susan’s mother, Avis Hanson on Easter Sunday and enjoyed a dinner at Horizons Restaurant in Tilden. Rich Carlson and Lillian Hanson also joined them. Avis knew the owners. Great granddaughter Isabella excitedly celebrated her 6th birthday on April 4th.

Nancy Erickson enjoyed the weeklong visit of her granddaughter Caitlyn of New Richmond, WI. Caitlyn enjoyed time spent at the Children’s Museum in Eau Claire, swimming at the Rice Lake pool, and some overnights all in the company of her Sand Creek friends, Joshua, Connor, Grace and Abby Neilsen, children of Kirk and Emily Neilsen and grandchildren of Carol Anderson of Sand Creek.

Bobbi Schoen enjoyed Easter weekend with family in Minnesota.
