Elk Mound track teams both place second at DCIC

In a four team indoor meet against schools covering all three divisions, the Elk Mound boys and girls track teams both finished as the runner up at what is normally a meet between all four county schools. Boyceville did not compete this year however, and Black River Falls, a Division II school as is Elk Mound, took the Bulldogs place and won the boys and girls division of the Dunn County Indoor Championships held April 2 at the Menomonie High School Fieldhouse.

Division I Menomonie was third in boys and girls competition while Division III Colfax was fourth.

In a meet that had unlimited entries, the Mounders had plenty of athletes competing, (including half of the football team in the 40 m dash)! First place finishes for the girls came from Anne Kendzierski in the 50 m high hurdles, Alyssa Buros in the shot put and Andie Friberg in the 300 m dash and pole vault. The boys were led by Dakota Tarnow who won the 50 m high hurdles and Andrew Zabel who won the 400 m dash.  Other Elk Mound competitors and places, times/distances include:
