Colfax graduate Lewis Mau ended his second year as a member of the UW-Eau Claire men’s basketball team by being named to the Honorable Mention All Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) team.
Mau, a sharp shooting guard and solid defensive player, started in 24 of the 25 games for the Blugolds and led the team in scoring with an 11.4 points per game average and in total points with 284, placing him 14th in the conference. He made 36% of his shots from the field and connected for 37 of 122 three pointers for 30%. He also canned 63 of 95 free throws for 66%, grabbed 76 rebounds for an average of 3.0 per game, led the team in steals with 38 which placed him third in the conference, assisted his teammates 50 times and blocked seven shots.
His team, under first year head coach Matt Siverling, ended the season with a 10-15 record and were 4-12 in conference play.
