Rockpile – 2-27-2013
The 3rd Quarter ended last week on the Hometown League and Papa’s Bar and Grill squeaked out the honors by slipping by Obermueller Trucking by a mere two points.
Town and Country also finished up the third quarter. My Leaker’s Old Timers were at the top of that heap by 5.5 points.
It’s hard to believe that we only have one quarter of league left.
There were a couple of women’s teams that traveled to Milwaukee for the Ladies State Tournament. Peg Obermueller lit up the alleys as she rolled a nice 247 game and a 614 series. Obermueller is currently in 3rd place in Division 1. Peg put up a dandy 818 series with her handicap. Great bowling lady!!
We have 16 keglers heading to LaCrosse this weekend to participate in the state senior classic tournament. I will update some results next week.
This Week’s Momism: “GO ASK YOUR FATHER!!”
Birdie with a yellow bill, hopped upon my window sill, cocked a shining eye and says: “What’s in the kettle, Pop….Corn??” Bee Boop!!

Nun Hair Care – Thanks to Madonna Denucci for the following story:
While shopping in a food store, two nuns happened to pass by the beer, wine and liquor section. One asked the other if she would like a beer. The second nun answered that, indeed, it would be very nice to have one, but that she would feel uncomfortable about purchasing it. The first nun replied that she would handle that without a problem.
She picked up a six-pack and took it to the cashier. The cashier has a surprised look so the nun said, “This is for washing our hair.”
Without blinking an eye, the cashier reached under the counter and put a package of pretzel sticks in the bag with the beer. “The curlers are on me.”
