Colfax FBLA members attended Regional Leadership Conference

CAMERON — Twenty four members of the Colfax FBLA chapter participated in various business-related competitive events at the Regional Leadership Conference on February 4. The state is divided into 7 regions, and there were 27 schools registered in our region.  The students compete in a variety of events involving written tests, computer skills, and presentations.

The following members were recognized in the top 10 in their events:

Bethany Ferry – 10th place in Personal Finance

Andrea Brantner and Nicole Nierenhausen – 10th place in Marketing

Jarrod Rudi – 9th place in Business Calculations

Lakken Meredith and Marianne Scharlau – 7th place on Global Business

Grady Gibson – 7th place in Healthcare Administration

Taylor Shipman, Samantha Simonson, and Jeremiah Wait – 7th place in Business Ethics

Natalie Dworak and Abbie Greenwell – 6th place in Digital Video Production

Zachary Meyer – 5th place in Business Calculations

Matthew Almquist, Lachlan HInwood, and Trevor Secraw – 5th place in Entrepreneurship

Katie Christoffel, Ben Kragness, and Alexis Rudi – 4th place in Banking and Financial Systems

Heidi Lieffort and Sara Schmock – 3rd place in Desktop Publishing

Reed Gibson – 2nd place in Sports Management

Also attending the leadership conference were Hunter Lieffort and Scot Schmock.

Heidi Lieffort, Sara Schmock, and Reed Gibson will be advancing to the state level of competition in Wisconsin Dells on April 15-16.
