Thelma Waterhouse and her daughter, Norma, hosted Christmas Eve at Thelma’s home for the family numbering 20.
Merton and Marie Swanson and family including Angela and Jim Smith of Eau Claire, Stacy, Ryan, Lauren and Bailey Hayes of Chetek and Erin, Joe and Max Browder of Bonney Lake, Washington, enjoyed Christmas together at the Kalahari Water Park in Wisconsin Dells.
Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Verna Knowlton whose visitation is held on Wed, Jan. 16 from 4 to 7 pm at the Rausch Funeral Home in Dallas and the church service takes place on Thursday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Lutheran church in Sand Creek. Verna had reached the age of 99 years on her last birthday in September.
Mark Dietsche fractured his left arm the week before New Year’s so Doris and Herb drove down to help take care of Madi as Mark’s wife, works, too.
Lee Anderson took his mother, Inez Schrader, to Red Cedar Canyon Nursing Home in Hudson on January 9 to visit a resident who had been a childhood friend of Inez’. This lady was 96 years old.
They also went to the Hudson Public Library where they had a guided tour by Linda Donaldson who is from Sand Creek. The tour was so worthwhile and they enjoyed it immensely.
Mae Sparby took Lillian Wendlandt and Swanhild Rasmussen to the Sand Creek Café on January 12 for noon lunch to celebrate Swanee’s birthday that day.
Swanee’s daughter, Carol Squires of Maryland had called the Café on Friday morning and told them to provide Friday’s noon lunch for Jean Hanson, Lillian Wendlandt and Swanee plus dessert.
Then on Sunday, Toby and Judy Horn took Swanhild out for dinner after church at the Café. That was 3 days in a row of celebrating.
Rocky Thompson of Minocqua, arrived home on Sunday, January 13 to spend a few days with his mother, Sue Piotrowski.
Tim and Dawn Knutson, Owen and Claire and Mary Knutson, visited Delores Madison at Knapp Haven in Chetek on January 13 after church.
Susan and Rich Carlson and great grandson, Angelo, took Avis Hanson out to dinner at the Sand Creek Café on Sunday, January 13.
