B-C wrestlers drop match to CW-PF

With just six matches actually taking place, the Bloomer-Colfax wrestling team lost a dual meet 54-27 at home Jan. 11 against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser/Prairie Farm 54-27.

 Forfeits were given to CW/PF at 182, 195, 220 and 285 for a 24-0 lead before B-C’s 106 pounder Justin Wachtendonk won by a pin at 1:12. Tucker Hovde received a forfeit at 113 and Brady Simonson, wrestling at 120, won by a pin at 3:01 to get B-C close, down 24-18. David Blanchard, B-Cs 126 pounder, lost via a pin and a forfeit at 132 gave CW/PF a 36-18 lead before Robbi Rands won for BC at 138 pounds with a quick pin at .55 seconds.Forfeit points were given to CW/PF at 145 and 160 but Dan Thorgerson won his 152 pound match with a 6-4 decision and Matt Shaw lost at 170 pounds by a pin for the final score.
