ELK MOUND — Four positions on the Elk Mound Village Board will be up for election in April.
Incumbent village trustees Kelly Droege and Jackie Swartz will not be running for re-election, and while Patrick McDougall filed nomination papers for one trustee position, the other position does not have a formally-declared candidate.
Droege filed non-candidacy papers with the village clerk’s office, but Swartz did not file a non-candidacy form although she has said she will not be running for village trustee, said Pat Hahn, village clerk-treasurer.
Village President Andy Peterson and Village Trustee Tom Gilbert both filed nomination papers by the 5 p.m. deadline on January 2, Hahn said.
