Only treats for October’s Outstanding Recycler

No tricks, only treats for Logan Bergh, who was “Caught Recycling” at the Elk Mound Area Collection Station on Halloween.  Logan received a $25 gift card to Vagabond Bakery, in Menomonie, for his outstanding sorting.

Recycling Specialist, Amanda Dent, couldn’t resist catching him.  “As soon as I saw Logan flipping the plastic bottles upside down to ensure they were recycled correctly I knew I had found my winner.”  Logan was turning the containers over, checking recycling symbols, to make sure only #1 and #2 plastic bottles and jugs were being placed in appropriate bins.

Amanda Dent proclaims, “I have more prizes to give away and more recyclers to catch!”  Amanda will be out every month looking for the next winner.  She may catch a recycler at home, at an Area Collection Station, the Transfer Station and Recycling Center, or out on the street.

A special thanks goes to local “Get Caught Recycling” sponsors for contributing towards gift cards: the Menomonie Market Food Co-op, Vagabond Bakery, The Raw Deal and the Acoustic Café.  To learn more about getting caught recycling, or if you are interested in recycling tips, visit us on Facebook, www.facebook.com/dunncountyrecycling, or give us a call at 715-232-4017.
